The Edgar Sealey Octofloat has a reputation of being a good all round general purpose "bottom" rod.
The good build quality from a respected maker make these rods popular with enthusiasts starting out in the world of cane rods.
Originally designed, as the name would suggest, for float fishing. They are a very versatile rod and can be applied to most general coarse fishing applications.
This particular rod benefits from a brand new hand planed tip section, and a full restoration, meaning it should be ready to provide another lifetimes service.
Restored to as new condition, whipped with claret silk threads, lined tip and butt rings and ferrules blued.

The Sorcerer

This restoration is very similar to the Allcocks Wizard, however, came to me unbranded. Due to this I decided to name it The Sorcerer.
This Rod is a very versatile rod and can be applied to most general coarse fishing applications.
It benefits from a whole cane butt section with a split cane middle and tip making it 11ft in length
The Sorcerer has had a full restoration so is ready to fish with immediately.

This is the Chapmans Shelford and is a good all round general purpose rod.

The Chapmans Shelford is a 3 piece 11ft split cane throughout rod. It is slightly on the lighter side and its similar to the Allcocks Lucky Strike.
This rod benefits from a full restoration and is ready to fish with immediately.

MKIV Carp
MKIV Carp
The MKIV Carp rod, designed by Richard Walker, is a classic cane rod taper produced by many companies.
This particular rod was most likely supplied in kit form for the owner to finish themselves.
The ferrules and cork fitted to this rod are of superb quality, probably better than the fittings used by B. James at the time.
Fully restored this rod features reinforced suction ferrules, Real agate butt and tip rings, low bells chromed intermediate rings, full length cork handle with sliding aluminium reel fittings and alloy butt cap with terracotta button.
A very well made rod, fully restored and ready to fish.
